Broadlands Road, Worsley
Our client recently purchased this 4 bedroomed property in a fantastic location within Worsley, sat on a fantastic plot. The property itself, a 1960's detached property, finished in buff brickwork, was in need of some modernisation. The first task was to increase floor space at both ground & first floor levels, provide open plan living at the ground floor, a large kitchen area with aspects out into the rear garden, utility with direct access into the kitchen and integral garage and a stud and play area at the ground floor.
The first floor layout was maintained, with a side first floor extension housing two en-suites and a walk in wardrobe linked to the master bedroom.
In order to modernize the external appearance of the property we adopted a through colour render to the exterior, coupled with contrasting anthracite grey windows and doors. We introduced a full height glass atrium to the main entrance to enhance the entrance area and create a focal point.
The ground floor rear extension which opens out into the rear garden and houses a large kitchen/diner and living space needed to be flooded with natural daylight. We opted to incorporate a bank of 5 large velux roof lights within the vaulted roof and two sets of large 4 meter wide sliding doors.
