Extension and refurbishment of a house in Marston, Oxford
The project involved the complete refurbishment and extension of a semi-detached Victorian house in Marston, Oxford.
We worked with the clients to produce proposals designed to address the lack of space, limited storage and lack of natural light in the existing house. A modest side extension was designed to be visually subservient to the original house and blend in seamlessly in the streetscene. On the ground floor this side extension incorporated a study and utility room with a vaulted master bedroom and ensuite on the first floor.
At the rear a full width extension provides a large open plan kitchen / family room on the ground floor and a partial second floor extension enlarges what was previously a small bedroom into a generously proportioned double bedroom.
